Hello again! I've missed GCBIMH, and I offer my sincere apologies for having abandoned you all during these past weeks. Ever since Thanksgiving break, and even before that, life has been a crazy, crazy whirlwind, and only last week did I have an opportunity to get out of this city and escape to a sparsely populated New England town where I was able to hibernate for a bit. Unfortunately, hibernation resulted in weight gain of a few pounds, but all the wholesome food made it so worth it. I figure once I get back to school tomorrow, I probably won't want to eat very much of the cafeteria fare anyway.
So I didn't make any resolutions on January 1, but I have been trying basically since I got back from my second visit to that Harry-Potter-looking school in mid-November to get over Paul. I'm just going to throw my vulnerability out there- I've been a pathetic mess for at least two hours every week, pretty much on the week, since then. I'm sure you've all heard it before, but let me remind you here- love sucks. A lot. I have been really good at not making up my mind about how I feel about him, and that's pretty much it. After a brief three-day stint of refusing to talk to him before Christmas, I have regressed to my old ways, and we've been talking kind of a lot. I won't divulge any more details other than that he is going to be staying in a place for the next several months that I don't have the money/time to visit, which might be good or might be torture. It also is a place a significant time-difference away, so we probably won't be able to talk as much whether we want to or not. Who knows?
I am happy to announce, however, that the beautiful E and C both have men in their lives. I will leave it up to them to reveal the juicy details of their romances, though, if they so choose!
We will all be reunited tomorrow evening, and I'm sure some good winter break stories will arise then.
Happy slightly-belated new year!
